The core cast of the Ensemble Kandinsky performs in the colourful combination of violin, clarinet, cello and piano. The four musicians Andreas Janke, Fabio di Càsola, Thomas Grossenbacher and Benjamin Engeli are well known on the major concert stages and have been chamber music partners for many years. In addition, the ensemble regularly presents itself with guest musicians, ensuring imaginative and innovative programs and outstanding concert experiences.
What these Zurich-based artists have in common is that they place their great musical skills and years of experience at the service of great masterpieces.
Each instrument brings its own colour spectrum to the ensemble, allowing the compositions to shine in all their splendour.
The ensemble performs works from the era of its namesake, from Johannes Brahms to Walter Rabl and from Alexander Zemlinsky to Béla Bartok. In addition, the ensemble often performs contemporary works, which add a very special touch of colour. The Ensemble Kandinsky promises musical pleasure and instrumental mastery at the highest level.
